Keeping the Word

God's word is one of the most precious aspects of our Christian lives. In 2 Timothy 1:13-14, Paul urges his readers "What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us." Without the word, we would have little guidance and direction to maneuver through the snares of this life. Keep the word, and the teaching of God's servants, with faith and love; guard it, as the word is your instruction manual for living a godly life.
